"He's 66 years old with no criminal record", said Brafman, arguing that if Weinstein moved to New York City he would be hounded by media and would have to deal with a "circus atmosphere".
The new charges against Mr Weinstein, which date back to 2006, are punishable by a minimum sentence of 10 years and a maximum of life imprisonment, while he faces up to 25 years in prison if convicted of either of the offences relating to the first two women.
Weinstein's Lawyer Ben Brafman has said he expects his client to be "fully vindicated" and has dismissed the predator charge as "simply not justified".
He had already pleaded not guilty to two counts of rape and one first-degree criminal sex act charge, and he is out on $1 million cash bail. Weinstein's CT home for the past 23 years, she said, should no longer an option because records show that it has been sold.
Brafman added: "We anticipate based on what prosecutors have said that there may be more charges".
The Manhattan district attorney, Cyrus Vance Jr, has said Weinstein is charged with "some of the most serious sexual offenses" that exist under state law.
A lawyer for the third woman, Gloria Allred, said her client will testify if the case goes to trial.
Haleyi said Weinstein forcibly performed oral sex on her in 2006 in what appeared to be a child's bedroom in his Manhattan apartment.

A former Weinstein Co. production assistant, Mimi Haleyi, last October made allegations against Weinstein that align with the charges in the updated indictment. In addition to the NY criminal proceedings, authorities in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles and the United Kingdom are also pursuing potential criminal charges.
One of the other two accusers, who has not been identified, told investigators Mr Weinstein cornered her in a hotel room and raped her in 2013.
The district attorney urged other accusers to come forward.
