'Tony Bellew absolutely, we'd go for that before the end of the year - not a problem. "I'll take my career very seriously this time and enjoy every moment".
"It meant miracles (to be back in the ring)". I want someone big and heavy who looks the part so when I hit them they can't move out of the way basically. I will be better next time.
Tyson Fury won his heavyweight comeback after opponent Sefer Seferi was retired by his corner after four rounds. PRESS ASSOCIATION Photo. Picture date: Saturday June 9, 2018.
The Manchester boxer suffered depression and admitted to drinking too much and taking cocaine, before it was revealed he tested positive for a banned steroid.
Fury, a former WBA, WBO and IBF Heavyweight World Champion, will return for the first time in 31 months in the SHOWTIME BOXING INTERNATIONAL® social media offering, which begins live at 4:30 p.m. ET/1:30 p.m. PT on the SHOWTIME Boxing Facebook page and SHOWTIME Sports YouTube Channel.
Fury coasted to victory over Seferi who was pulled out of the contest at the end of the fourth round.
With boos ringing down from the upper tiers, it was hardly the victorious homecoming Fury had in mind - but much more relevant contests are sure to follow.
However, through a combination of Fury's antics and Seferi's decision to drop out, plenty were left angered at the spectacle as a whole.
After the fight, Fury's promoter Frank Warren confirmed Fury will next be in the ring in Belfast in August, as he takes his place on the card for Carl Frampton's next fight.
Frampton indicated that he would be willing to fight the victor of Warrington and Selby, however, Warrington feels a Belfast fight with Frampton could be premature for him.
"As we've said from the start, this is a process and it's about him getting the rust out of his system", Warren said.
Mid fight, former heavyweight champ Tyson Fury and his opponent even appeared to look at the punch drunk punters as they landed punches on one another.
Whether he'd win or lose, one would imagine that Tony Bellew would nearly certainly put up a better fight against Tyson Fury than Sefer Seferi.
