Police said a student and teacher, Jason Seaman were injured in the shooting Friday morning, and the suspect, a student, was taken into custody.
"All students are being taken to the Noblesville High School, parents are asked to pick up there", Perrine tweeted. His brother told the paper Seaman was shot three times. A police officer assigned to the school was on duty and in the building, they said.
The school's academic year was scheduled to end next Friday. Jowitt said there is "no reason to believe there is any kind of threat connected to this incident anywhere else". We need to keep risky weapons out of the hands of unsafe people.
Jowitt said the student was quickly taken into custody and didn't confirm accounts that the teacher tackled the shooter after he fired four to six shots. An unnamed student said that Seaman tackled the shooter.
Noblesville Schools Superintendent Beth Niedermeyer said she had just visited with the families of the victims and asked that, while cards and kind wishes were welcome, people stay away from the hospital to allow the family to have some peace. "She's highly involved in school".
"My prayers are w/the Noblesville community, especially those who are injured & those who witnessed an active shooter situation- something no one should ever have to go through".
"He's a hero. If he didn't do anything, he probably would have continued shooting and a lot more of us would have been injured and possibly killed", a student said.

A female student was in critical condition early Saturday after being wounded during a shooting at an in middle school on Friday, authorities said.
"It was a gut feeling and as soon as we got the code yellow, I knew that that was what's going on", the student, who was not named, told The Indy Star.

Noblesville West Middle School, located about 30 miles northeast of Indianapolis, serves about 1,300 students, according to statistics reported to the Department of Education. He said he was conscious after the shooting and talked with his wife, telling her he was OK.
