With a 3500 mah battery to power the device and Android O running under the hood, the device is priced at 18,990 INR. The processor is Samsung's Exynos 7870 octa-core with 3GB/4GB RAM coupled with 32GB and 64GB storage. There is no dual-camera and Samsung has instead opted to equip the Galaxy J6 with a 13MP (f/1.9) rear camera and an 8MP (f/1.9) selfie camera.
That includes the "Infinity Display" with the 18.5:9 aspect ratio, though this time it has an 2220×1080 resolution, down from the 2960×1440 display on the Galaxy S8. Thankfully Samsung has not skipped on any of the sensors and this means that the Galaxy S comes with Gyro Sensor, Geomagnetic sensor and also a Pressure sensor. Too bad it's so expensive. J8 will be available from July 2018 onwards.
In terms of optics, J4 is likely to carry a 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front-facing sensor. Prices of the two Galaxy A6 variants are Rs 22,990 and Rs 21,990 respectively. Consumers buying Galaxy J8 and J6 through ICICI Bank credit and debit cards or Paytm will get an additional cashback of Rs 1,500 as part of the launch offers. All front cameras have F1.9 aperture to deliver the best low light camera performance in the industry. Galaxy J6 will go on sale from May 22 on Flipkart, which is today.
We knew that these would be Samsung's second series of budget smartphones to feature the Infinity Display. Both handsets come with Samsung's super AMOLED Infinity display with 18.5:9 ratio. The Galaxy J6 will be available as early as May 22, whereas the Galaxy J8 will only be available starting June 20. The devices will also be available on Paytm Mall.
Samsung Galaxy A6 has a metal unibody construction with 5.6-inch HD+ Super AMOLED display. The smaller Galaxy J6 is be powered by a 3,000mAh battery while the Galaxy J8 has a 3,500mAh battery. This arrives with a 6-inch, HD+ display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset, 4GB of RAM plus 64 GB of internal storage. Both the cameras come with LED flash and Bokeh mode features. Both the devices are available in three color choices; Blue, Gold, and Black.
All the smartphones come with Samsung's Make for India feature called Chat Over Video that facilitates an uninterrupted and uncompromised viewing experience while chatting. Samsung Mall app uses Artificial Intelligence to let users shop by clicking a picture of the desired product and automatically getting results for the item across popular e-commerce platforms. As usual, Samsung is including a few purchase offers.
