The phone is priced at CNY 1299 (USD 204/ INR 13,830) for the 4 GB RAM/ 32 GB storage variant, the 4 GB RAM/ 64 GB storage variant is priced at CNY 1499 (USD 236/ INR 15,980), while the 6 GB RAM and 64 GB storage variant would cost you CNY 1699 (USD 266/ INR 18,090). The launch event will be streamed live on JD.com, Suning.com, and Tmall.com. The new budget smartphone will be available in China exclusively for now but, we do expect the company to launch it in countries like India where budget smartphones always have an audience. The company can name the unit either with Nokia X or with Nokia X6. The modern 19:9 display has a whopping 95% screen-to-body ratio and is protected under Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Nokia X6 is also the first smartphone from the company to sport a notch on the front display. There is expected to be 32GB/ 64GB onboard storage, expandable up to 128GB (via microSD).
Coming to Nokia 5 and first-generation Nokia 6, HMD Global has confirmed that both the smartphones will receive Android P update. The Redmi Note 5 pro competitor, the Asus Zenfone Max Pro also runs on the Snapdragon 636 chipset.
The report speculates that HMD Global may have opted to emulate old Nokia's strategy of launching devices under the N-series, X-series and the C-series.

After a few weeks of speculation regarding the name, the Nokia X6 finally went official in China on Wednesday.
