CBS held its annual pre-upfront breakfast for the press at its New York City headquarters ahead of its presentation for advertisers at Carnegie Hall Wednesday afternoon.
CBS has a remake ("Magnum P.I."), a revival ("Murphy Brown") and four new shows on its schedule for fall 2018.
CBS keeps turning back the clock this fall, adding revivals of Candice Bergen's "Murphy Brown" and "Magnum P.I" to a fall lineup already featuring "Hawaii Five-0", "MacGyver," and "S.W.A.T".
Someone in the room noted the similarity between the morning rivalry between Morning Joe and Fox & Friends, and CBS Entertainment president Kelly Kahl called that a "good comparison".
60 Minutes, television's #1 primetime news program for five decades, kicks off Sunday nights on the network, providing a strong lead-in for CBS' new drama series God Friended Me.
The new "Magnum P.I." is part of a greatly revamped Monday lineup that also features the new (really new) CBS comedies, "The Neighborhood" and "Happy Together". Jay Hernandez will take over the starring role from Tom Selleck.
SUNDAY: 7 p.m., "60 Minutes;" 8 p.m., "God Friended Me;" 9 p.m., "NCIS: Los Angeles;" 10 p.m., "Madam Secretary". Executive producer Dick Wolf's new crime drama is set in NY and stars Jeremy Sisto, Zeeko Zaki, Missy Peregrym and Connie Nielsen.

TUESDAY: 8 p.m., "NCIS;" 9 p.m., "FBI;" 10 p.m., "NCIS: New Orleans".
