Meghan Markle's half sister said Tuesday that their retired father is under an "unbelievable" amount of stress because of relentless pressure from reporters and paparazzi hounding him at his home in Mexico. Thomas Markle would walk his daughter down the aisle and her mother would drive with her daughter to the chapel. The palace said earlier it would not comment on the report, and its statement did not clarify if the bride's father would or would not be at the wedding. But celebrity news website TMZ reported Monday that the elder Markle has chose to stay away amid criticism over his decision to pose for mocked up wedding-preparation shots taken by a paparazzi agency.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's royal wedding is only days away, so that means we're getting more and more juicy details on a daily basis. "She and Prince Harry ask again for understanding and respect to be extended to Mr Markle in this hard situation", a spokesman for Kensington Palace said.
According to the celebrity news site TMZ, Markle has pulled out of the wedding because he doesn't want to embarrass his daughter or the royal family. "Meghan and I do not have a relationship now".
Harry's office said last week that all the bridesmaids would be children and that Markle had decided not to have a maid of honor because she could not choose between her friends.
Meghan Markle's dad, Thomas Markle, apparently wants to go to the royal wedding after all.
He said that if doctors allow him to be discharged, he will fly to London.
But who is Meghan Markle's mother?
Royal toddlers Prince George and Princess Charlotte will lead a crew of 10 bridesmaids and page boys accompanying Meghan Markle and Prince Harry down the aisle on their big day, Kensington Palace announced Wednesday.
Thomas Markle, who lives in Mexico, was quoted as tellingTMZ he was scheduled for a heart fix and blockage procedure early on Wednesday. But if he did, I am going to assume it was a pittance - they don't pay that much. "I hate the idea of missing one of the greatest moments in history and walking my daughter down the aisle", he said, adding, "Of course I'd walk her down the aisle".
Despite her parents divorcing when she was six Ms Markle has remained close to her father.
