Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has confirmed his interest in landing Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez. "I don't think for the players it's a hard situation - probably they train the same way and it's not a dramatic change that isn't good in this period of the season".
What we believe really is that there are some players in the football world, if you have a chance to sign them, it doesn't matter if it is January, March or July.
Alexis looked certain to join former manager Guardiola at the Etihad this month as the two clubs negotiated details of a move, though Jose Mourinho's interest in the attacker has made the decision a slightly more hard one for the Arsenal man.
"What I can always say is United have always been interested in the best players out there", added Yorke, who scored 65 goals in 147 games during his trophy-laden four-year spell at United. "Meanwhile, Sanchez has reportedly fallen out with his Arsenal teammates, which could have hastened Arsene Wenger's decision to allow him to leave".
He later explained that as an ex-player and a fan he would love to have Sanchez at Old Trafford, but he wasn't asked that question yesterday.
"You look at Manchester City and they're so far ahead of everybody else, not just in points but in the way and style they play". When it was put to him that Sanchez would only be sold if a suitable replacement had been found, Wenger said: "You sum it up very well". I am focused on Liverpool.
"You might think his behaviour this season has been petulant, selfish, arrogant; but to me that suggests he's a frustrated victor who is desperate for trophies", Parker said.
"I think selling Sanchez to United and getting Mkhitaryan in return would work", he told Soccer Saturday.
United are said to have made a £25m (€282.m) bid for Sanchez on Thursday (11 January), with reports claiming Mourinho is confident his side can beat neighbours Manchester City to one of the biggest deals of the January transfer window. Sanchez wants to be around players who are as good as him, maybe even some that he believes are better than him.
"In relation to Sanchez all I can say, which everyone else says, is that he is a phenomenal player".
