According to the test conducted by Tom's Guide, the latest iPhone models supporting fast charging were stacked up against the latest flagship Android smartphones. However, it should be noted that Apple doesn't actually provide a fast charger with the iPhone X, iPhone 8, and iPhone 8 Plus. In the case of the iPhones, both the standard AC plug and the separate fast charging adapter were used to precisely conclude the charging time. Tom's Guide recently put this to the test by comparing the OnePlus 5T against flagship heavyweights like the Samsung Note 8, Pixel 2, iPhone X/8/8 Plus, and LG V30.
It is safe to say that you are an aficionado of USB-C quick accusing of the iPhone 8 and iPhone X?
If we talk about the latest Apple iPhones, you can get fast charging only if you buy a 29-watt power adapter and a USB-C-to-Lightning cable.
The study stated that the OnePlus 5T, which relies on its own proprietary Dash Charge technology, led the pack, by reaching 59 percent in just 30 minutes.
Firstly, the devices were tested in 30 minutes of charge time.
Round two returned with similar results with no changes in ranks after an hour of charging.
Among the new iPhones, iPhone X is better and gives a competition to the One Plus 5T while LG's V30 comes pretty close to the first and secured the second place with 53% charge in 30 mins while iPhone X placed itself at the third position. Results were like the principal test, with the OnePlus 5T standing out at 93 percent, the V30 at 86 percent, the iPhone X at 81 percent, the iPhone 8 at 80 percent, and the iPhone 8 Plus at 79 percent.
In the first round of the showdown, Tom's Guide tested the battery percentage that various flagship smartphones can gain after 30 minutes of using their respective fast-charging features.
We can clearly see at this point that some Android flagships are ahead of the new iPhone models in fast charging speed. So that's quite an improvement on Apple's part as well.
However, the same report suggested that the charging time of these iPhones charge slower than the rest of the field when charged with the included adapter with the iPhone X reaching only 17 percent in 30 minutes.
This is it for now, folks. These additional accessories cost an additional $68 on top of the price of the iPhone X and iPhone 8. Share your views with us in the comments.
